Stunning XBOSS Falcon Coupe heads to auction
Grays Marketplace will auction one of Australia’s greatest Street Machines, with a starting price of just $9.
XBOSS was born out of owner Chris Bitmead’s vision to build the best XB Falcon coupe, an extensively modified vehicle in a refined pro touring style that modernised and enhanced the factory look of the XB Falcon Coupe.
Although XBOSS was constructed to elite standards to become the first Australian built car to compete for the Don Ridler Award at Detroit Autorama, it was ultimately built to be driven. The three key judging criteria for the Ridler award are creativity, engineering and workmanship.
In addition to being an award finalist, the Falcon also won trophies at every state show in Australia, including Superstars Grand Master at Motorex in Melbourne, Top Judged Elite at Summernats in Canberra and First Place Elite Class at the Extreme Auto Expo in Adelaide. In total, more than 50 trophies have been awarded to XBOSS.
More than 30,000 man hours were spent completing the build.
Facebook posts featuring the car have amassed more than 3 million views and likes, with dozens of YouTube videos of the car also ranking highly with enthusiasts.
Grays will auction the Ford via its Classic Car auction at 140-152 National Drive, Dandenong South in Victoria.
Other cars to be auctioned include a V8 Supercar, pro-street LH Torana drag racing car and a highly modified HSV VF GTS.
