Regional Dayco plant rallies behind Ronald McDonald House

Dayco Australia and employees in Wagga Wagga (NSW) have assembled a number of Christmas charity boxes for Ronald McDonald House. The boxes contained non-perishable food, toys and assorted goods.

On December 15, the Dayco team donated the boxes to Ronald McDonald House in Wagga Wagga. They also toured the facility, available for families with children undergoing care in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital and Calvary Hospital.

The Wagga Wagga facility provides a comfortable place to stay along with caring and well-trained staff. Being in a regional area, some families bring their children long distances for highly specialised treatment and operations. The facility allows them to be close to their children’s hospital during preparation, treatment and recovery.

Dayco Wagga Wagga Plant Manager, Paul Morphett, said the entire Dayco team rallied behind this year’s Ronald McDonald House charity box run.

“We are a close-knit community here and we appreciate the great work that Ronald McDonald House does in supporting families. They have helped more than 6,000 families over the past year, which is a remarkable effort,” added Morphett.

“All of us at Dayco are proud to support Ronald McDonald House locally, just as our company has done in Melbourne for many years. They are essential to keeping families together during very difficult times.”
