National 4×4 Outdoors Show set to debut in Sydney

The National 4×4 Outdoors Show will debut at the Sydney Showgrounds from July 22 to 24, showcasing top products from the latest in campers, caravans and accessories, outdoor adventure, tourism and apparel. The event will also feature a host of live entertainment and activities, including informative presentations, 4WD demonstrations, reptile shows, a range of food and beverage, and interactive displays and competitions.

“We are excited to finally deliver Australia’s biggest outdoors show to Sydney, connecting locals to some of the most celebrated and prestigious outdoors brands and information,” said Event Director, Jon Perry.

“Over the past 12 months, we have witnessed a massive surge in people prioritising holidaying locally and exploring the great Australian Outdoors.

“With a number of new initiatives being introduced at the Sydney 4×4 Show, the debut event will not only give outdoor enthusiasts ‘all the know’ they need before they head off on their next outdoor adventure but will reinforce the event’s reputation as a must attend on the National events calendar.

“In addition to the wide range of tips, advice and insider hacks, there will be thousands of the latest products on display, with the usual complement of show-only specials and bargains.”

Aside from displays from the industry’s leading 4×4, caravanning and camping brands, the event will host interactive areas, including the Outback Stage, which will feature Australian off-roading television personalities.

Currently scheduled guests include Jock McDonald, Shaun White and Graham Cahill from 4WD 24/7, Pat Callinan from Pat Callinan’s 4×4 Adventures, Brianna and Bridget from Red Dirt Diary, Sam Young from Fulcrum Suspension and Barney Lewis from Built 4 Offroad.

On the proving ground with the team from ARMA, visitors can learn how to safely recover their vehicle and gain tips and techniques to ensure their 4WDing adventure is a success.

One of the longest running highlights of the 4×4 Show, the Action Arena, will feature a program from Freestyle Now BMX.

A new attraction, Bush Mechanics, running in partnership with ARMA, will educate and inform visitors on the skills needed when stuck in the bush, while the Garage Talk sessions will provide expert information on preparing adventure vehicles.

Car-enthusiasts should also drop by the Ryobi stand on Sunday, where Mighty Car Mods will make a guest appearance.

Another new exhibit, the Shimano Fishing Tank Show, will feature a 10,000 litre 10-metre-long fishing tank and give children from the audience the chance to ‘catch a fish’, with $1000 worth of prizes to be won during each session.

The Outback Hotel will serve smoked BBQ treats and live music, with the location also providing a dedicated meetup space for clubs and groups.

The team at Black Snake Productions will host a variety of interactive shows on Australian reptiles, while the Show N Shine competition will showcase a wide assortment of vehicles battling for honours in four different categories. Category winners will take home a range of prizes including $500, while the ‘Best in Show’ winners on both the Saturday and Sunday, will each take home a prize pack worth $8,000.

Australian 4×4 personalities will film The Shed to a live audience, which will include Q&As and exclusive prize giveaways.

Tickets for the show are only available online and are sold for dedicated entry times on each of the three days of the event.

Two-day bundles and three-day passes are also available, with children under 16 years admitted free by pre-registration.
