Mazda BT-50 accessories’ Aussie ingenuity
The accessories range for Mazda’s new BT-50 will exceed 100 options, led by a new bullbar.
The company says its in-house engineering team has designed a premium bullbar that integrates with BT-50’s safety systems. The bullbar will be available from the October launch and sold exclusively through Mazda dealers.
The premium bullbar, affectionately known as ‘The Queensland Bar’, was developed for heavy-duty applications like those found in the far north. Made of high-grade, black-finished steel, it offers additional headlight hoops to fully protect BT-50’s front end.
From the design stage Mazda Australia’s engineers ensured the bullbar would seamlessly integrate with vital safety technologies such as crumple zones, airbags and comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Front parking sensors (where equipped) also remain fully operational.
Mazda says the bullbar was thoroughly tested to ensure robustness and uncompromised engine and transmission cooling.
Vehicle lighting was also considered, resulting in the bullbar being fully compatible with BT-50’s LED headlamps, indicators and daytime running lamps (where fitted).
For further personalisation and practicality, the bullbar design features mounting points for Mazda genuine driving lights and light bars.
Also available from launch is the Mazda Australia-designed Premium Sports Bar. This black-finished steel bar features side-plates with ‘BT-50’ insignia for a truly purposeful presence and blends perfectly with the soft tonneau cover.
This elegant tonneau follows the previous BT-50’s path by removing the ‘bungy cords’ of traditional tonneaus, greatly increasing durability and adding a smoother style. The design also allows easy tailgate access.
Tying it all together is a range of tough alloy road wheel designs, highlighted by a black-finished 18-inch alloy that was specifically selected to add further visual aggression.
“The commercial vehicle segment is of vital importance to Mazda Australia, and a strong accessories offer brings further customer personalisation opportunities,” said Vinesh Bhindi, Managing Director of Mazda Australia.
“With its modern yet tough design and class-leading safety, Brand-New Mazda BT-50 has moved the game on, particularly in terms of design and safety.
“With an extensive Mazda Genuine Accessories range available from launch, the new BT-50 can be tailored to suit the job at hand, whether at work or play,” he said.
When sold with the vehicle, all Mazda Genuine Accessories fitted to BT-50 are protected by the same comprehensive warranty.
The warranty covers five years and unlimited kilometres, demonstrating Mazda’s commitment to developing genuine accessories solutions for ultimate customer peace-of-mind.
