Isuzu increases prices, protects existing orders
From April 1, 2022, Isuzu UTE Australia (IUA) will introduce a price adjustment for the 2022 (22MY) D-MAX and MU-X range; with the RRP increasing by $1,000 to $1,600, dependent on model variant. The company attributes the rise to various market driven factors, including but not limited to, increasing production related costs, and international and domestic transport/logistics costs.
Drive-away pricing on the D-MAX SX Single Cab Chassis 1.9-Litre Manual 4×2, D-MAX X-TERRAIN 4×4, and MU-X LS-T 4×4 will increase by $2,000.
All confirmed orders logged with an authorised Isuzu UTE Dealer are automatically covered by a price protection guarantee if the vehicle was ordered, signed and dated before the 31 March, 2022.
“The constantly-shifting global situation affecting production, transport and logistics costs has driven the need to increase pricing across the 22MY D-MAX and MU-X range—but this decision was not taken lightly with all options deeply considered,” said Isuzu UTE Australia’s Director of Sales and Marketing, Koichiro Yoshida.
“Regardless of an order status—whether it be in transit or planned for production—IUA guarantees the price protection on all confirmed orders taken before the end of March.”
“We are eternally grateful for everyone’s patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented time of supply shortages, and we are working closely with our global production team to secure the maximum number of vehicles for our local Australian customers.”
IUA said demand for D-MAX and MU-X remains at an all-time high, with the entire Isuzu UTE Dealer Network committed to delivering customer orders as quickly as possible.
