Mercedes-AMG Aero Edition 63 heads Down Under
The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S Coupé Aero Edition 63 is set for Australian and New Zealand showrooms, equipped with an exclusive package of upgrades.
Just 63 examples will hit the road in Australia and New Zealand, featuring functional enhancements and distinctive trim and colour elements.
Aero Edition 63 features wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamic extras to increase downforce and grip, including an exclusive AMG Performance rear spoiler, a unique and distinctive front lip, an aerodynamically optimised diffuser, and additional side facings for the air vents in the rear apron.
A number of components comprise lightweight carbon-fibre, including the AMG front apron A-wing, inserts in the side sills, the diffuser insert in the AMG rear apron, the rear spoiler, and the exterior mirror housings.
Carbon-fibre also features inside the cabin, including the centre console trim, along with attractive aluminium inserts across the dashboard and doors. The flat-bottomed AMG Performance Steering Wheel is clad in carbon-fibre and DINAMICA.
AMG Performance front seats are standard and are upholstered in a trim combination reserved exclusively for Aero Edition 63 – Nappa leather in Magma Grey and Black, finished with yellow stripes. Further yellow detailing subtly highlights the cabin including the rear seats, centre console, dashboard and doors.
Aero Edition 63 adds further AMG enhancement via a high-performance ceramic composite front braking system, featuring 402 x 39 mm ceramic compound brake discs (internally ventilated and perforated), with six-piston fixed callipers (rear: 360 x 26 mm, 1-piston combined floating callipers). The brake callipers feature a distinctive gold paint finish, with AMG Carbon Ceramic lettering.
These work in concert with an ultra-lightweight AMG twin-spoke forged alloy wheel package in staggered diameters of 19-inch for the front wheels, and 20-inch at the rear, and finished in matt black.
Aero Edition 63 is offered in a choice of Polar White or Iridium Silver paint, and badged as 1 of only 63. It is on sale now exclusively from AMG Performance Centres, and costs $188,600 (MRLP).
