Hyundai and Will Brown win TCR Australia championship
Will Brown is the inaugural TCR Australia Series champion.
At the end of a torrid day of racing at Sandown Park, including a first-lap spin that dropped him to the back of the pack, the Brown did enough to claim the crown.

Brown drove his Hyundai i30 N to an eighth-place finish, edging out his final championship threat, Dylan O’Keefe.
It’s Brown’s third Australian title, after victories in the Toyota 86 and Formula 4 series.

Brown’s title win overshadowed the brilliance of Argentinian Nestor Girolami, who completed a Sandown sweep with his victory in the last of three races in a Honda Civic Type R. The results make him the first person to win every race of a TCR Australia weekend.

He was followed home by veteran Garth Tander in an Audi RS3 in both of today’s races, while the pair of thirds went to James Moffat’s Renault (Race 2) and Andre Heimgartner’s Holden Astra (Race 3).
The final round of the carsales TCR Australia Series will be held at The Bend Motorsport Park on November 15-17.
